Travel management company Click Travel has set up a new direct connection with budget hotel company Travelodge, bringing instant and live booking capabilities to all UK customers.
Click's clients will have benefits in terms of having direct access to all discount and special rates on room bookings which are currently only available via the Travelodge website.
With the addition of the Travelodge functionality, Click Travel has increased its 'one stop shop' offering and strengthened its budget hotel inventory which now boasts live availability from thousands of budget hotels including Premier Inn, Ibis, Campanile, Etap, Express by Holiday Inn, Sleep Inn, Comfort Inn, Future Inns and Purple Hotels.
Gwyn Jones, head of national accounts, Travelodge said the company is focused on developing its online capability. "Travelodge has one of the top three travel websites in the country. 85 percent of our bookings are made directly via our website and we want to continue to grow the proportion," said Jones.
Up to six million extra holidays each year will be fully protected against the failure of a travel company under new measures announced in the UK.
