Meaningful travel company i-to-i has launched 'Be Part of It', a national campaign to help the company achieve its goal of 400 years of combined volunteer service by the end of 2008.
A bespoke website www.meaningfultravel.com and viral video have been created to promote the initiative, which aims to highlight the impact of volunteer travel. The website offers information on the types of holidays available, the purpose of meaningful travel and profiles past volunteers with images from each of the destination countries.
The launch video offers a mixture of practical and comic advice on how to get the most out of travel.
"The resulting message is that travelling is all about changing environments, changing perspectives and changing views," stated the company.
The viral will be available to access on the 'Be Part of It' website and will also be distributed via social networking sites such as YouTube, Facebook and del.icio.us.
Last year, i-to-i assisted over 5,000 travellers take part in volunteering projects around the globe, contributing over 357 years of volunteer service through the company. This year the aim is to reach 400 years by 31st December 2008.
The campaign, which will run until the end of the year, will be supported with case studies and profiles of new travellers about to embark on their volunteering experience.
