TravelHero has acquired WorldRes, an Ireland-based travel planning and distribution company. Financial details weren't disclosed.
With this acquisition, TravelHero gains strategic partnerships with thousands of additional independent and international brand lodging properties, stated Rob Lamb, president and CEO, TravelHero.
"Now consumers, affiliates and industry partners will have access to the largest number of lodging options on the Internet through TravelHero and WorldRes networks," said Lamb.
Founded in 1995, TravelHero has developed and operates the TravelHero online travel planning and distribution system in addition to other proprietary reservation products and services including ResHero, EventHero and GolfHero.
TravelHero and WorldRes will continue to operate as separate brands, each serving unique market segments. Each will continue to build and service affiliate partnerships in addition to facilitating value-added revenue opportunities, creative promotional programs, and expanded distribution networks for business partners and clients.
