AirTran Airways has signed a four-year strategic partnership with online travel company Expedia.

Through the agreement, AirTran Airways’ full range of products and services, including all fares, schedules and inventory, will be marketed through Expedia.com.

“The AirTran Airways business model provides travelers with low fares, new aircraft with business class on every flight, large overhead bins and XM Satellite radio as well as great customer service from friendly crew members. Delivering this service hinges on our ability to efficiently distribute our product,” said Kevin Healy, vice president – planning, AirTran Airways.

“By leveraging the broad customer reach and travel expertise of Expedia, AirTran will be able to offer the quality low-fare air service that our customers have come to expect as we continue to expand our route network to new cities across the US,” said Healy.
