How API partnerships can help give airlines an edge

In this free Friday video - a panel discussion from EyeforTravel’s recent Asian show - Momondo, Kiwi.com and Scoot share business insights

Bibi Lægaard, Global Head of Meta Sales, Momondo, starts the session by highlighting a recent viral marketing campaign. EyeforTravel MD Tim Gunstone goes on to question low-cost long-haul Singaporean Airline Scoot on its API strategy. Trevor Spinks, Head of Sales and Distribution at Singaporean low cost airline Scoot says that a year ago, the airline had just 30 API partners, now it has 77. Not all work brilliantly and most revenue comes from just a handful of partnerships. Spinks stresses that while API partnerships are the future, they need both technical understand and sales nous to work. Watch the full panel discussion here, which also includes insights from Zdenek Komenda, VP Business Development, Kiwi.com.
