MagicRooms has recently received funding from VC firm Nexus Venture Partners.

The company says it has worked on “India’s first hotel GDS that actually works in real-time”. MagicRooms integrates with PMS to ensure a real-time inventory distribution to all channels. Available rooms can be booked till the last minute.

The company believes that the new development “will enable the company to scale up operations so as to achieve its goal of becoming the number one international player in hotel room GDS”.

The team is headed by Niranjan Gupta, the founder of flightraja.com, a B2B airline booking website.

According to Gupta, MD of MagicRooms, the funding will be used to build up infrastructure and also for intensive marketing over the next 12 months.

“With the first PMS integration slated to happen later this month, there is a positive market buzz over what is being hailed as one of the greatest technology innovations in the hospitality industry in this decade,” Gupta said.

At the time of launch, Gupta had said, “Hotels need to be able to offer all available room inventory till the last minute; while travel agents, OTAs and corporate houses need the convenience of being able to make instant online reservations in real time. MagicRooms will change the way hotel rooms are booked from now on.”
