MakeMyTrip.com develops “unique search matrix”

According to the company, the new hotel toolbar on the home page narrows the search options for hotels on the basis of both price range and star categories and displays it in a convenient matrix-view.

“We’ve identified online hotel bookings as a high-growth category and have created a unique search matrix for this section to assist customers to make their choice in the simplest and shortest manner. The credit goes to the relentless focus of our team of software developers who successfully replicated a feature we had earlier pioneered for the flights section,” said Sachin Bhatia, Co - founder and Chief Marketing Officer, MakeMyTrip.com.

As per the July 2007 figures circulated by comscore, a US-based Internet research company, MakeMyTrip.com has been rated as the 10th most-visited website in India, with 3.5 million unique hits. The company highlighted that it is also the most-visited travel website in India, ahead of Cleartrip.com, Yatra.com, Air Deccan and IRCTC.co.in among others.
