Priceline.com's shares continue to climb

The stock has gained more than 250% over the past 12 months, and is up nearly 93% since the beginning of the year, highlighted Reuters.
For the latest quarter, Priceline earned $104.4 million, or $2.27 per share, compared with $47.8 million, or $1.05 per share, in the year ago period. Excluding stock-based compensation and other one-time items, earnings were $1.58 per share.
According to another media report, shares of the online travel company climbed 24.6%, or $20.73,to $105.00 in late afternoon trading on Friday.
Priceline's third quarter sales rose 33.1% to $417.3 million. In particular, the company's European site, Booking.com , saw a 97.9% increase in travel bookings, versus the year ago period.
