VibeAgent, a travel 2.0 company that combines meta-search, user reviews, and social networking to provide hotel recommendations, is set to introduce its Facebook application called jetsetter. It is targeted towards frequent travelers.

Speaking to EyeforTravel.com's Ritesh Gupta, VibeAgent Inc.'s Co-founder & CEO Adam Healey said: "Jetsetter enables its users to post and share their trips with their friends. It also allows them solicit and receive specific travel advice. And perhaps most importantly, it allows its users to compete against each other as to who is the biggest jetsetter, by tallying the total miles each person has traveled in the last year."

Healy, who described Jetsetter as a fun, social travel application, was one of the speakers during last week's Social Media Strategies Travel 2008 Conference in San Francisco.

He shared that the site is growing its user base, reviews, and bookings on a daily basis, doubling in size every month.

"We were just featured in the Washington Post and MSNBC.com recently as an exciting up-and-coming travel site. We're adding new hotel and booking partners each week to increase the selection and price options for our site visitors. We've added several valuable features to our site to make it easier for people to research and book hotels online, including customisable location search, non-dated search, and "Best of" lists," he said, adding that VibeAgent also recently launched a home page redesign.
