Allotz.com to showcase its online inventory distribution solution at EFT's Asian conference

Allotz.com, a new technology which manages the inventory for hoteliers and online resellers, is set to share its offering in the forthcoming EyeforTravel Travel Distribution Summit Asia 2008 in Singapore.

According to Stuart Udy, VP Marketing and External Operations for Allotz.com, there are some misconceptions in the industry about what inventory management actually means and Allotz.com plans to change the expectations of inventory distribution systems forever.

"The biggest problem with online selling is access to available rooms, the hotel inventory. Allotz.com revolutionises the way inventory is accessed by Resellers by making it automatic. That's what computers are supposed to do. A property can load available inventory for their online partners and not touch it again for a year or more if they like," said Stuart.

"What we want to achieve at the EyeforTravel Travel Distribution Summit is to show, in simple language, what is happening in the current environment," said Stuart. "At the moment, businesses are relying on 'screen scrapers' and 'web bots' to update their inventory. If you ask me, that's a bit like asking a blind man to drive you home."

Stuart added. "Online inventory distribution can be simple, it can be streamlined and it can be fully automated while completely controlled by you. It's 2008 and the era of time-consuming inventory uploading, overbookings and screen scrapers has passed. It's time for a revolution. This is a total management solution, not a half baked 'web bot'. The implications are enormous and very exciting," said Stuart.

Allotz.com will be presenting the "Next Generation in Inventory Management" seminar on Tuesday 18 March, at 10am.
