Amadeus has launched the mobile version of CheckMyTrip. The company is also developing a set of free applications designed to enable travellers to easily access and share travel plans on the move, via their mobile phone.
The launch of CheckMyTrip for Mobile comes as part of the ongoing development of the CheckMyTrip web-based platform, which enables business and leisure travellers to check the most up-to-date travel itineraries plans via the Internet, including amended or cancelled flights.
To access CheckMyTrip for Mobile users simply need an Internet-enabled mobile phone, an Amadeus booking reference number.
Amadeus also announced the beta launch of new services. This includes CheckMyTrip application for Facebook allowing anyone with a Facebook account to install an application to import and share travel plans booked on the Amadeus system with friends and family.
Up to six million extra holidays each year will be fully protected against the failure of a travel company under new measures announced in the UK.
