FatWire Software has launched FatWire Content Integration Platform and also announced the beta release of the EMC Documentum connector to enable customers to more effectively manage content across highly complex environments.

According to the company, most organisations store content – such as documents, images, videos, etc. – in a series of disparate repositories. Enterprises need to tap into these valuable assets to make websites richer, and to provide current and relevant information online. The new platform solves this problem by enabling organisations to access content stored across the enterprise, and publishing it to their public websites, intranets and extranets managed by FatWire Content Server.

The FatWire Content Integration Platform enables customers to:

1. Maximise the value of all types of content in the organisation by enabling content to be easily used and re-used as needed online, regardless of where it is stored.

2. Deploy and securely publish documents stored in EMC Documentum to websites managed by FatWire Content Server…all without leaving the FatWire Content Server interface.

3. Support company-wide content security, content management, and content retention policies for all content types, even as they are used online.

4. Formalise and enforce business processes used to access, review, share, and publish content online.

5. Avoid duplication of content and reduce time and cost associated with managing and sharing distributed content.

"Content integration is critical to the success of our customers online," said Yogesh Gupta, FatWire president and CEO. "The launch of the FatWire Content Integration Platform and the Documentum connector offer exciting possibilities for using the web to reach across business silos. We will continue to build on the capabilities introduced today to help customers to better leverage their investments in content to deliver a world-class web experience."

The Documentum integration is part of a planned series of integrations enabled by the FatWire Content Integration Platform and more will be announced later this year.
