ISO Travel Solutions GmbH has signed an agreement with Pegasus Solutions.

The German company, a provider of tourism software solutions, is to use UltraDirect, a single interface that directly links to Pegasus’ portfolio of more than 60,000 hotel properties. As a result, the users of the OCEAN-Tour Operator Solution Suite will gain online access to the new single interface from the Pegasus hotel reservation system.

Both companies have signed an agreement that allows ISO as the first software provider worldwide to use the new interface.

The main benefit of the new interface is the possibility to access the PegsTour System with its contracted allotments and rates and at the same time to access the Pegasus Ultra Direct System with its free sale hotels and rates, according to ISO. On one hand, this enables the OCEAN users to access their contracted rates and allotments without having to load all the base data in OCEAN first. On the other hand, they can query and book each of around 65.000 hotels of the Pegasus Solutions online and in realtime.

Arne Klingenhegel, strategic accounts director - Pegasus Solutions, said in the growing tour services market, it is imperative tour operators have quick and easy access to reservation systems that will provide real-time rates.

“PegsTour and UltraDirect will enable OCEAN tour operators to not only greatly improve their booking process but it will improve the customer experience by providing competitive prices and better options,” said Klingenhegel.

Markus Kretschmer, sales director, ISO, “We can now offer our OCEAN users the simultaneous access to flights, cruises, insurance, etc. and the very connection to numerous hotels. This is a benefit for the tour operators who offer pre-packaged services, as well as for the tour operators who offer flexible component services, i.e. in the segment of dynamically packaged city trips.”

ISO will establish the conneciton in the next months. The existing “CRS Engine”, which already enables the connection to several other external systems, such as charter- and low-cost-systems and Amadeus,
will be enhanced by the specifics of the Pegasus Single Interface.

The planned delivery date for a first version for availability checks and bookings is in approximately three months.

The ISO group has 220 employees, four offices in Germany and subsidiaries in Poland, Austria and Canada.
