Lonely Planet and Acquity Group, a provider of business and technology solutions that optimise business performance, have signed a multi-year Commerce OnDemand agreement.

As per the information available, Acquity Group will create and host the new Lonely Planet e-commerce storefront utilising Commerce OnDemand.

Commerce OnDemand combines Ecometry’s Blue Martini e-commerce software with Acquity Group’s e-commerce expertise. Commerce OnDemand provides retail consumers with the ability to easily create, update, and manage the promotion of their merchandise -- all without worrying about the technology behind the solution.

Chris Dalton, Acquity Group chief executive officer said, “Our Commerce OnDemand solution will allow Lonely Planet to administer their storefront more efficiently and take advantage of the growing opportunities in online channels.”
