Offering relevant offers via mobile app

Air Miles has introduced its re-designed mobile app. The company highlighted that the focus is on letting its members stay connected with Air Miles offers and promotions optimising opportunities to earn reward miles. And a gameification layer, too, has been added to the app.

More than 10 million active Collector accounts, representing approximately two-thirds of all Canadian households, participate in the programme.

The company says Collectors with Android and iPhone devices can now get on the go access to Air Miles Reward Programme information such as account balances, improved browsing of the complete dream rewards catalogue and in- store bonus offers at sponsor locations based on GPS.

“With more than 10 million Air Miles Collector accounts we know how important it is to provide new and relevant offers to Collectors,” said Neil Everett, chief marketing officer, Air Miles Reward Programme.

Mobile Game

The company highlighted that one of the new features of the re-designed Air Miles Application is the Check-in Challenge on now until April 30, 2012.

The initiative is the first ever Air Miles mobile game that ranks the number of Check-ins Collectors do at Air Miles Sponsor locations against other Collectors each month. At the end of the month, the top 50 Collectors with the highest number of Check-ins will get a Check-in Bonus, 2x the reward miles they earned that month at the Sponsors they Checked in at.

The Check-in challenge was designed to add a gameification layer to the App. Collectors can compete against each other to earn more reward miles faster.
