Pegasus Solutions has shared that renewed contracts for its reservations, distribution, financial services and representation business units in the third quarter exceeded $26 million, while new signings approached the $10 million mark.

Additionally, the company surpassed 5,200 upgrades for its next generation central reservation system, RezView NG.

Other highlights for the quarter included an exclusive agreement with Travelport GDS to offer Galileo-connected travel agencies reduced pricing on commission processing services, a contract with Carlson Wagonlit Travel for commission processing services, and an increase of 89 percent in the number of independent and small group hotels participating in corporate programmes through its representation arm, Utell Hotels & Resorts.

"As hospitality providers, agents and travelers are watching the bottom line more closely, it's our job at Pegasus to create value through efficiency and performance," said Pegasus CEO Mike Kistner. "Customers that renewed with us this quarter did so because they saw tangible results that positively affected their business. The clients that have just joined, or come back, did so because they needed to break through the negative economic forces to develop and implement the best strategy to keep their business as healthy as possible."

Kistner, who was named CEO at the close of the second quarter, also named a president of representation services in the third quarter. Ric Leutwyler joined Utell from Best Western to head Utell and Unirez by Pegasus.
