Pegasus Solutions and KDS, a provider of online business travel management solutions...

Pegasus Solutions and KDS, a provider of online business travel management solutions, have signed an agreement to use Pegasus’ UltraDirect electronic distribution service.

With Pegasus’ UltraDirect service, KDS users have direct access to more than 60,000 independent and chain hotels around the world, with instant venue information, such as rates, availability, reservations and inventory.

UltraDirect also gives KDS customers complete control of the booking experience, making it easy to integrate other services for its business travel customers, such as car, flight and train reservations.

KDS pointed to the rapidly expanding market for self-booking tools as the reason behind its selection of Pegasus.

“KDS always looks to enhance the control our customers have over their booking experience, and Pegasus allows us to offer another level of direct access to the central reservation systems of a wide selection of hotels worldwide. By working with Pegasus, we can expand the options of our customers as they face the daily demands of online business travel,” said Matthew Frost, KDS sales director in the UK.

UltraDirect works well with virtually any programming language and Web infrastructure, enabling KDS to customise its front-end interface to meet its customers’ travel needs, according to the company.
