Farelogix, provider of independent faring and multi-source distribution technology to the global travel industry, and PASS Consulting, plan to market and distribute the PASS Virtual Travel Organizer (VTO) travel agency point of sale (POS) application as a

This partnership is expected to provide travel service providers with full control to manage content from all sources - GDS sources, direct supplier connections, web connections, and a variety of private sourced databases.

PASS Consulting, travel technology vendor, is a leading developer of independent multi-GDS applications, serving as a point of sale tool for travel agents, travel brokers, and travel departments within companies. VTO apparently combines outstanding flexibility with many additional features including integrated customer profiling, individualized look and feel on the web, customizable workflow, on screen profit margins, and synchronized web and GDS native interfaces.

The objective of VTO, with its multi-GDS capabilities, is to solve the challenges of multi-source customer servicing and agent training with the easy to use, fully integrated system.

"VTO is a perfect match for Farelogix," says Jim Davidson, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Farelogix. "There is a compelling need in the industry for a multi-source, independent agency point of sale application and we see VTO as one of the best available.

“Allowing travel agency operations to manage all sources of content provided by the FLX platform is critical to their future success, and the VTO technology is independent of any one specific data source and can be used to manage all the required point of sale functionality."

"PASS is very enthusiastic about our partnership with Farelogix,” adds Michael Strauss, CEO of PASS Consulting Corporation and Director of Travel Management Solutions Worldwide. “Having access to multi-sourced content while allowing the travel agency to control the management of where bookings are done is a significant added value at the point of sale."
