TripIt has launched TripIt for iPhone, a free application for the Apple iPhone.
The application displays a traveller’s detailed itinerary on their mobile phone. The application, available for free in the Apple iTunes App Store or at TripIt, was created using the TripIt application programming interface that enables developers to build on TripIt’s open itinerary platform.
“An iPhone app has been one of the top requests from TripIt travellers,” said Gregg Brockway, co-founder and president of the online travel itinerary and trip planning service.
He added, “It’s ideal for the frequent traveler, who can just forward their travel confirmation emails to plans@tripit.com and automatically get their travel plans right on their iPhone.”
TripIt supports other mobile devices with a specially-designed website at m.tripit.com.
