A new offering being described as the world’s first online hotel booking franchise has emerged.

UK-based Hotels.tv, an online hotel booking website, has launched its international franchise business.

According to the company, successful franchisees will be responsible for selecting and recruiting hotels, as well as liaising with owners of accommodation in their selected destination, to build relationships to offer the best possible value to travellers. They will also be able to offer hotels a presenter-led or guest review video which will not only be used on the Hotels.tv site, but can also be used as part of the hotels own marketing strategy.

Franchisees will be fully trained in all aspects of the business, including use of the online booking system, recruiting hotels and on and offline marketing. They will also benefit from full training and support, as well as worldwide brand marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO) and social marketing campaigns.

Harrison Brown, MD of Hotels.tv, said the company is giving an opportunity to develop a booking agent business, complimented by trusted, independent hotel video reviews.

“The network of franchisees is central to the success of the business as each franchisee provides another marketing arm to help promote the brand globally. Franchisees can work together and share commissions, expanding their bookings around the world,” he said.

Each franchise territory is sold on an exclusive basis. Franchisees benefit from being part of a worldwide network of franchised and destination based agents. Franchisees are going to earn commissions from bookings, video sales and ad sales. The franchise purchase price ranges from £10-£20k, dependent on the territory.
