Online travel company Orbitz has shared that its Price Assurance cash refund programme has hit the $10 million-mark.

Online travel company Orbitz has shared that its Price Assurance cash refund programme has hit the $10 million-mark.

The company shared that every seven minutes an Orbitz customer gets a Price Assurance Refund. Its programme rewards Orbitz customers with a guaranteed automatic cash refund if another Orbitz customer later books the same flight or prepaid hotel room for less. Orbitz automatically sends a refund check for the difference.

Since the programme’s inception in June 2008, more than 170,000 Price Assurance refund checks have been issued to customers.
