Travelers Access Personalized Guidebooks on their iPhones for free

May 26 - San Francisco: Today, for the first time, consumers can access personalized travel guides on their iPhones with NileGuide’s free “Guide To Go” application. NileGuide (www.nileguide.com), the web’s premier one-stop-destination for custom trip planning, announced the release of their iPhone app Guide To Go, providing users with interactive versions of the custom travel guides they create on NileGuide.com on their iPhones.

In addition to browsing rich, custom itineraries, users can explore each element in their trip list, whether it’s a hotel, activity, restaurant, or nightlife spot, along with local insights, photos, and contact information. Day maps show all activities for that day and each point of interest is viewable in relation to the user’s current location, making navigating a snap. NileGuide’s Guide To Go also provides full guidebook information for each destination, including history, weather, where to stay, eat, and drink.

NileGuide’s Guide To Go app also brings to market entirely new travel planning resources for all iPhone users. Users can browse top rated trip itineraries based on their current location. These trips are created by NileGuide “local experts,” users, and well-known travel brands. With a few taps, users can find “Hidden Gems”, “Budget” and “Foodie“ suggestions, and much more. They can also explore trip ideas for any destination in the world covered by NileGuide, now numbering over 100.

“Guide to Go is a perfect fit with the value proposition of NileGuide, and is a logical extension of the custom trip planning experience we offer,” said NileGuide’s CEO Josh Steinitz. “Now our users have an option to send their personalized guidebook to their iPhone, or download their guide in PDF form---either way, it’s completely free, entirely unique to them, and not some off-the-shelf product.”

NileGuide invites anyone with an iPhone to download the free app and begin planning their next adventure, whether around the corner or around the world. Download the app at http://itunes.com/apps/guidetogo.

Josh Steinitz will be speaking at EyeforTravel’s Mobile Strategies for Travel conference on Sept 16-17 in Chicago. For more information visit: http://events.eyefortravel.com/tdsusa/mobile-travel
