The Asia Pacific region has the most complex airfare structure in the world.

Today, it becomes a whole lot simpler, with the official launch of new
technology from Whereto Travel Services at Quay Grand Hotel, Sydney.

Whereto.com.au boasts Australia's best online travel technology, providing
the cornerstone for the nation's most advanced online travel agency.

An Asia/Pacific first, Whereto's flight booking engine integrates Galileo's
new XML Select tool into the Computer Reservations System (CRS), to form an
airline booking engine far superior to any in the region.

"What we are releasing today is the most powerful segment based nett-fare
routing engine this region has ever seen," said CEO Ben Jackson.

The Whereto technical team has invested a wealth of travel industry
knowledge into the development of a smart electronic travel agent, capable
of making complex travel decisions.

"Our systems can handle the most complex routings available, including
multiple airlines with multiple transfer points and in multiple classes,
with codeshares, stopovers and open jaw sectors," Mr Jackson said.

The technologies are available for implementation anywhere in the world, and
include Internet booking engines, airfares databases, e-CRM (electronic
Customer Relationship Management), consultant workflow systems, e-DM
(electronic Direct Marketing), web site Content Management Systems, web
development, application hosting and site management.

"Issues of airfare complexity have held back online travel in this region as
it requires very advanced routing and airfare database systems to interpret
the strict rules applied to the nett fares that characterize air travel in
the region.

US & European markets are characterized by simpler routings and more
published fares.

Technology built for those markets don't work in this region and so
corporations, airlines and other online players wishing to expand into this
region must either build, license or acquire the technology.
Our systems are the most advance in the region and are available for
implementation now" said Ben.

Whereto's next generation currently in beta development includes Agency
Whereto, a consultant automation tool which will put the power of the
Whereto system into the hands of a consultant, slashing the time taken to
book and ticket airfares. Corporate Whereto, a fully automated booking
system for corporate travellers will allow the client total control over
their travel arrangements and provide almost instant turnaround on travel
requests.

"Whereto.com.au offers a fully commercialised and operational system. This
is the future of online travel booking technology."

This is how Internet travel should be.
