Allotz.com launched their revolutionary Inventory Distribution Platform to the Asian travel market at the EyeforTravel Distribution Summit Asia conference in Singapore this week.
Presenting their seminar topic, “The Next Generation in Inventory Management”, to a full house, Stuart Udy, Vice President Marketing and External Operations for Allotz.com, said their aim was to broaden the understanding of current failures in online inventory systems.
"The objective of our seminar was to unearth the myths and misconceptions about ‘Channel Management’,” said Stuart.
“We wanted to explain to the industry how manual management is just unmanageable, and how some ‘Screen Scrape’ technologies, that claim to be so-called solutions”, are entirely inadequate.
Once the industry understands what's happening in the back rooms of the technology, the light bulbs flash and they ask, “why hasn't this be fixed sooner?”," Stuart continued.
"At this conference alone we have signed on six resellers and over 200 hotels across Asia. That's in addition to the dozens we are already working with, proving the industry has recognised a sustainable solution when they saw it,” said Stuart.
“Airlines learned years ago that they must manage inventory automatically, and now the accommodation industry is starting to realise the great potential of effective online inventory management and is embracing the tools to do it. We have set ourselves a challenge and that challenge is to create a new efficient standard for distributing accommodation inventory worldwide."
