Outrigger names Dan Wacksman as SVP - Integrated Marketing

Published: 24 Jul 2008

Outrigger Enterprises Group has chosen Dan Wacksman for the newly created position of Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing.

Wacksman, who was most recently based in Hong Kong, has relocated to Honolulu to take on the additional responsibility while maintaining his existing role of Senior Vice President, Resorts Interactive Group.

Wacksman, who joined Outrigger in August 2007, will oversee the expansion of Outrigger's online business.

On decision to go ahead with the appointment, David Carey, President & CEO, Outrigger Enterprises Group said the company is counting on Wacksman's experience in the online agency business. "With his first-hand knowledge of the dynamic travel scene evolving in Asia, Dan will bring a new perspective to the next stage of our company's growth", said Carey.

Wacksman has spent nearly 15 years in the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Outrigger, he was Regional Director, Asia, with Gullivers Travel Associates (GTA) in Hong Kong, where he was responsible for offices in six countries. He has also worked with Cendant Travel Distribution Services (now Travelport) in company's New Jersey headquarters as well as in mainland China. Before joining Cendant, Wacksman worked in Honolulu with CheapTickets.com.
