Lufthansa Systems has launched NetLine/Market, a new solution that covers all aspects of sales, marketing and network planning and processes market data from different reservation systems for its analysis.

NetLine/Market is part of the Integrated Commercial Platform (ICP) from Lufthansa Systems. This platform solution covers all of an airline’s network and revenue management processes.

NetLine/Market enables a carrier to examine its market position instantly and to analyse the competition’s network and sales performance in detail so as to improve its own competitive position. The solution also provides important data for an airline’s long and medium term network planning.

Tunisair will be the world’s first airline to use its ICP This solution will enable the Tunisian airline to coordinate all of its network and revenue management processes. The ICP provides an overview of the information relevant to commercial planning and gives airlines a solid foundation of data for managing their business. Tunisair has additionally opted for the Web Portal of the ICP, which provides structured information on fares, yields and market share from a variety of sources.

Global success in local markets

Lufthansa Systems says for in-depth market analysis, airlines today require more than just a display of market shares. NetLine/Market meets their requirements. It identifies the most profitable markets and thus enables an airline to maximise its revenues.

An essential part of NetLine/Market, apart from the analysis of the current situation, is its ability to detect potential for further developments. It suggests codeshare agreements, entry into new markets or sales incentives in existing markets and so highlights areas where even a successful position can be further enhanced. Due to its high degree of automation, it also reduces the workload for investigation and research.

NetLine/Market is closely linked to NetLine/Plan, the strategic long term network planning solution. Through the integration both systems use the same GDS data sources for consecutive planning steps. They access a number of sources, so airlines have an alternative to the costly provision of data from only one source via an exclusive provider.
