InnLink, which offers reservation services for hotels and hotel companies, and The Rubicon Group, revenue management services company, have formed a strategic alliance for revenue management and enhanced inventory and distribution controls.

The alliance will enable InnLink’s hotel customers to utilise Rubicon’s powerful MarketVision Rate Management tools and competitive shopping strategies through InnLink’s proprietary RESmatrix data and information management system, as per an official release.

Mike Young, president of InnLink said that the company chose The Rubicon Group for revenue management due to its “innovative and industry-leading technologies and hospitality experience.”

“The integration between our two systems will provide our joint customers with unique and unparalleled tools to control distribution and rates through GDS and Internet channels at an affordable price,” said Young.

Rubicon’s MarketVision system has been developed to provide comprehensive rate information for hotels so that sound rate and inventory decisions can be made quickly and effectively, according to Steve Swope, president of The Rubicon Group.

“An essential part of every Revenue Manager’s tool kit is the regular evaluation of the competitions' price positions. Coupled with InnLink and their RESmatrix application, the hotelier will have sophisticated – yet easy to use – tools available to make the best decisions for his property,” said Swope.

Rubicon’s MarketVision technology includes the following features: Shops both GDS and Web rates, including popular travel sites and brand sites; accessible via any Internet browser; no software to install; email notification and delivery of reports; shop different lengths of stay/rent months into the future; user-customizable automatic shopping profiles; HTML and PDF reports; CSV and XML data exchange with corporate information systems; integrated with ForwardVision Revenue Management and Quaestor Rate Management systems. The system provides rate information for hotels and car rental companies.
