Accorhotels.com and hotel meta-search engine HotelsCombined.com have signed a new distribution partnership.
The distribution agreement covers all Accor hotel international branded properties – Sofitel, Pullman, M Gallery, Grand Mercure, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure, Ibis, All Seasons, Formule 1, HotelF1 and Etap.
Romain Roulleau, senior vice president - e-commerce for Accor, said, “Our strategy is to develop our presence on key meta-search like HotelsCombined.com in order to increase the client retention on our direct distribution channels and especially on our portal Accorhotels.com. By purchasing on our sites, the client not only benefits from the best price guarantee but can also get information on our worldwide loyalty programme Aclub.”
In another development, HotelsCombined.com has appointed Graham Robertson as the new product marketing coordinator.
Robertson will continue to tap into social media opportunities to position Hotels Combined at the forefront of where consumers go to compare hotel prices across the ever-complex web of online travel agents. His position also entails him to develop marketing tactics to represent Hotels Combined supplier inventory most effectively in the social media space.
Robertson brings five years of industry experience including leading the B2B Operations team at Octopus/GTA. His recent work has been vital in implementing the iFindHotels application - an iPhone application that facilitates last minute hotel booking enabling users to simultaneously compare hotel rates and book through their iPhone.
