The latest statistics from Enfodesk, the Seasonal Survey of China Search Market in Q2, 2010, released by Analysys International, have revealed that Baidu and Google still occupy the major positions. And the revenue share of Baidu broke 70 percent for the first time, and reached the highest record.
The advertising system of Baidu continues to play an important role, promoting ad clients’ APRU to rise dramatically. At the same time, the uncertainty brought by Google has made more room for Baidu, stated an official release.
“Google fell into the uncertainty of machine transfer and the examination of ICP before and have some loopholes in comforting ad customers and agencies. Its market share continued to drop, from 31% to 24% in Q2. However, the uncertainty is gradually resolved and Google will rally accordingly in search market which either goes ahead or keeps falling,” stated an official release. “For other operators such as Sogou and Soso, they have gained some room in the market and they actively build up their sales team and agencies. However, they need more time to make breakthrough.”
