Budget airline easyJet has launched its first blog. The airline says posts on its blog are going to be about great travel destinations, latest route announcements and new competitions and prizes.
The blog, blog.easyjet.com, has been developed by OMD UK, reported marketingmagazine.co.uk. The low-cost airline has recently increased its social media presence, boosting its Twitter followers with campaigns such as the 150-hour “blogger challenge” with UK travel writers.
James Lee, marketing manager UK at easyJet, said: “Social platforms are part of everyday life for many of the people who fly with us. It is important that we participate in these platforms and make it as easy as possible for our passengers to engage with us, wherever they are online.”
