Activity tags will allow users to search for their flight destination by what type of activity or interest a user has.

"Activity tags will change the way people view online airfare searching," said the Internet travel start-up's Senior Engineer Derek McGowan. "Previously, consumers looking for airfare had to pick a departure and arrival city, but Travature's activity tags enable users to search for airfare based on their specific interest."

"For example if you knew you wanted to go somewhere with beaches on your vacation you can now input your departure city and then beaches into the arrival city input box and be shown how much it costs to fly to any city tagged beaches. The utility doesn't end with basic search terms either, activity tags are generated by our users, they will be able to search for virtually any activity or interest imaginable. As of now our most popular tags are: golfing, beaches, surfing and fishing."

Travature.com's next project is a community platform to allow users to connect and share their travel experiences, photos, hotel reviews, and restaurant reviews all on a personal level.
