British Airways has appointed Kerris Bright as head of global marketing. She will report to sales and marketing director Andrew Crawley.
Bright joins from her job as chief marketing officer at paint giant Akzo Nobel.
The airline overhauled its marketing department last year. Head of marketing communications Katherine Whitton resigned in October 2008.
“This is one of the top marketing jobs in the industry and I am confident her experience will help us transform our business through innovative and creative marketing campaigns worldwide,” said Crawley.
In September last year, the airline launched its first TV campaign in two years. BA decided to features a series of events taking place from around the world, with the aim of convincing penny-pinching travellers that “staycations” don't provide the most exciting holidays.
Up to six million extra holidays each year will be fully protected against the failure of a travel company under new measures announced in the UK.
Best Western International has launched a new promotion on its Facebook page. The company says it intends to remind everyone that road warriors are heroes to the people back home, and this promotion is a way to connect the dots between making a living and living it up with those you love.
GetThere has added new capabilities to its mobile offering in order to meet travellers’ needs on the road while still adhering to the corporation’s policies and preferences.
