Shona will be joining Lonely Planet on 18th December 2006.

Lonely Planet’s EMEA chief executive officer Stephen Palmer said, "As the pace of change quickens, both in the highly competitive world of travel guide books, and in providing the best possible travel content in the wider digital space, there is a need to keep true to Lonely Planet’s values. This must be achieved whilst ensuring we have a brand that’s relevant, visible and talked about. She couldn’t be joining at a more significant time for us."
