SideStep, Inc. is now offering travelers to use its travel search engine to search for, find and book “things to do” for their next trip or in their hometown.

On the launch of its latest category expansion featuring Local Attractions, Activities and Tickets, the company says it is the first and only travel search engine to leverage the power of vertical and local meta search to deliver this offering.

“With the launch of Local Attractions, Activities and Tickets, SideStep becomes the first and only travel search engine to incorporate local vertical search into travel planning. This new technology allows consumers to book an entire local itinerary for an upcoming vacation from the comforts of their home,” said Anthony Rodio, SideStep’s vice president of Product Management.

“No other travel search site aggregates activities ranging from Las Vegas shows to professional sporting events,” said Rodio.

The new Activities Tab will provide users an enhanced one-stop, travel shop to secure all facets of their itinerary. By enabling its customers to select from a wide variety of activities that interest them in one single search, this will eradicate the need to navigate multiple ticketing and attraction Web sites.

In addition, SideStep’s SmartSort feature gives users the power to filter through thousands of activities worldwide based on activity type, price, duration, day and location.
