AAA Travel Services gears up for Web 2.0 integration-intensive upgrade

Published: 10 Jan 2008

The project covers 60 AAA clubs and will provide enhanced travel reservation system technology for over 8,000 AAA travel agents in the United States and Canada.

"We interviewed several international data integration providers for this important reservation system

upgrade," said Ron Morehead, AAA's Managing Director, Internet. "We chose Fetch because its Web Agent technology simply makes life easier for both our travel agents and our technology team."

As per the information available, Fetch Technologies' Web Agents intelligently search, extract, clean and integrate data from any surface or deep Web travel-related Websites in real-time, reducing the time it takes for AAA travel agents to research and affect bookings. The Fetch tool also automatically replicates customer information from the AAA travel agent portal for each new booking. Customer data is then automatically propagated into availability and pricing queries for the travel sites AAA travel professionals access on a daily basis - saving time on the input and increasing accuracy.

"Our technology automates many repetitive tasks such as form filling that are endemic to researching and booking travel," said Robert Landes, CEO, Fetch Technologies.

"Fetch automatically pulls reservation information into our existing databases in the background, so that agents have access to the information they need for customer service, reporting and accounting reconciliation," said Morehead. "Of the several competitive technology companies participating in our RFP, Fetch won out because of its ease of integration with our existing reservation system and ability to eliminate repetitive tasks."
