Expedia Distribution recently promoted Tamer Tamar to managing director and vice president role for Europe Middle East and Africa region (EMEA).

Expedia Distribution recently promoted Tamer Tamar to managing director and vice president role for Europe Middle East and Africa region (EMEA).

Tamar will report to senior vice president of Expedia EMEA David Roche. The appointment follows the departure of Karen Bohannon who returned to the US last year.

Tamar will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the business, formerly Expedia Private Label, across the EMEA region.

Tamar joined Expedia Distribution, the company's white label products arm, in 2004 as business development manager for the UK. He was then promoted to director of car hire and was most recently he was director of corporate development, overseeing "growth strategies" and managing relationships with partners.
