Online travel company Expedia.com has launched a new offering for unmanaged business travelers, who book their business travel on their own as opposed to through a corporate travel department or full-service corporate travel management company.

Online travel company Expedia.com has launched a new offering for unmanaged business travelers, who book their business travel on their own as opposed to through a corporate travel department or full-service corporate travel management company.

Expedia.com Business Travel page (www.expedia.com/business) meets such segment’s needs, offering tools and information not available from any other online travel agency, according to the company.

“Travelers book with Expedia.com because we deliver them choice and control, with the best selection of travel options, booking tools and information that help them easily book the right trip at a great value,” said Paul Brown, President, Expedia North America.

“We understand the unique needs of unmanaged business travelers and have developed a travel booking resource that speaks directly to their needs and helps them make confident travel decisions,” he added.

The company stated that it has launched the MileageManager tool, making it the first online travel agency to enable business travelers to manage and track multiple travel rewards program totals in one place.

Also, its Expedia.com ThankYou rewards programme delivers the freedom to earn rewards points across multiple travel providers, and providing total choice and flexibility in redeeming rewards.

“And there is no need to give up current frequent flier programmes -- in most cases, travelers can still earn their frequent flier programme points when booking on Expedia.com by simply entering their membership number at the time of booking or check-in,” stated the company.
