Buoyed by its recent performance, technology solutions provider GoQuo Ltd is targeting triple-digit growth in 2007.

The company, which strives to help agents, product suppliers and consolidators compete more effectively in the online market, has managed to grow its customer base from six in 2005 to 32 this year.

Company’s founder and managing director Ron Ramanan has set a growth strategy of expanding the business benefit of the three core solutions – GQ Dynamic, GQ Agent and GQ Consol – with deeper and richer travel product content such as cruises, and value-enhancing functionality such as the imminent launch of its flight calendar feature.

GoQuo is also focusing on continuing technology development to improve system accuracy, speed, resilience and affordability for agency customers, together with maintaining GoQuo’s service and support standards.

Other plans include sourcing new content partners for hotel provision in the Far East and expanding in markets such as China and South East Asia, where GoQuo already has a customer foothold. Ramanan says this region is one of the fastest-growing travel markets, thanks to regional low-cost carrier competition, increasing disposable income for travel, and higher volumes of international visitors. The other plans are to establish a business office in Manila, expanding the existing solution development facility in Sri Lanka, building a presence in the US travel market and developing a solution for tour operators and for destination management companies.

Through GQAgent, agents can access an ever-growing airline inventory provided by a range of flight consolidators as well as GDS airline content which means agents can offer online customers the maximum flight choice, as well as secure, simple and fast booking, according to the company.

GQAgent can subsequently be upgraded to GoQuo’s GQConsol, which can handle complex fare classes by giving the travel business the flexibility to load its own contract rates. This can be further enhanced by adding the dynamic packaging functionality of GQDynamic, which adds hotel and car booking modules to create tailor-made packages.
