Equinus and Travology, two travel technology consultancies from the UK, have joined hands to launch eTeam, a new travel technology support service for small to medium sized travel companies.

As per the plans, eTeam will help travel companies get more from available technology by providing practical and independent support, as and when required and at an affordable cost.

By pooling their respective skills and manpower, Equinus and Travology can manage many more technology projects for a wider range of companies and at lower cost.

Travel companies that sign up for eTeam will have direct access to travel technology specialists, either on-site or by phone and email. “eTeam is available as and when needed, avoiding the cost and risk of recruiting expensive specialists. Travel companies can sign up for just a one-day Health Check costing just £500 or one of the many annual support packs. For larger projects, eTeam is offering discounted consultancy rates for existing customers,” stated the company.

Equinus Partner, Bob Stockwell said technology is now recognised as a key component for future success and whilst the software and hardware has become more affordable, the same isn’t true for people.

On competency, he said, “Recruiting and keeping good technical staff isn’t easy, let alone those who understand travel and e-commerce. That’s where eTeam is different.”

Travology managing director Andy Boyce said with technology driving the pace of change in the travel market, smaller companies are finding themselves in a situation where they do not have the skills, knowledge and resources to keep up.
