OneTravel Holdings, Inc. has decided to partner Pegasus Solutions for its UltraDirect electronic distribution service.

OneTravel Holdings (OTV) says, as per the agreement, the partnership will result in access to information, inventory and real-time booking capability at more than 60,000 hotels worldwide, as well as net rates from participating member hotels that use Utell by Pegasus hotel representation service.

The deal substantially increases the hotel inventory available to OTV’s travel businesses, including 1-800-CheapSeats (www.CheapSeats.com), (www.onetravel.com), (www.11thHour.com), (www.discounthotels.com), and (www.Suntrips.com), according to the company.

Stating that Pegasus provides the technology backbone for a significant portion of the hotel industry, William A. Goldstein, chairman and chief executive officer, OneTravel Holdings says the new development will enable its sales agents and online customers real-time access to over 60,000 hotel properties on every continent.

Pegasus offers independent hotels and small hotel groups a range of connectivity, marketing and automated distribution services via Utell and Unirez.

“The Pegasus network of hotel properties includes virtually every major hotel chain, as well as independent hotels. We are looking for hotel bookings to be a great growth opportunity for us, so this agreement is a big step toward achieving this initiative,” said Goldstein.

Through its Utell by Pegasus representation service, Pegasus provides sales, marketing, reservation and data support services as well as revenue, yield and channel management guidance for member hotels. Building upon the connectivity services, members benefit from Pegasus initiatives that drive bookings via sales and marketing programs, travel agent-focused programs, international promotional campaigns, global rate programs, aggressive business development in the Internet arena and more. All hotels utilising Pegasus Solutions representation services have access to Pegasus Commission Processing and other automated financial services.
