Wyndham: technology and training are crucial to RM

Deniz Dorbek, Director of Revenue Management EMEA, Wyndham Hotel Group packs a lot into this short presentation, where she starts by telling the audience that while RM isn’t rocket science challenges remain. Among the recommendations she makes for addressing those are to: use left and right brain thinking, personalise loyalty programmes and really get to grips with ‘net net room revenue’. She admits that Wyndham has invested heavily in technology but cannot stress enough the importance of people entering the right figures and data, and taking the time to properly analyse the outcome. This is what is missing, she says, and training is crucial.
